Do your patients have anemia? Cardiovascular disease? Or even depression? They could be related to the levels of their essential elements. The Red Blood Cell Elements Test could confirm if these are due to the levels of important elements in their bodies.

Principal

Doctor’s Data, Inc., DDI (Illinois, USA)

Description

Used to assess the status of essential elements with important intracellular functions, such as magnesium, copper and zinc. Deficiencies or excesses of these essential elements affect numerous metabolic processes. RBC element analysis is also useful for the assessment of ongoing or recent exposure to specific toxic metals, such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, methylmercury and thallium, that accumulate preferentially in erythrocytes

Indications

Alopecia, Anemia, Bone Density, Cardiovascular Disease, Depression, Dermatitis or Poor Wound Healing, Detoxification Therapy, Fatigue, Gastrointestinal Symptoms, Hypertension, Inflammation, Immune Function, Impaired Glucose Tolerance, Kidney Function, Nutritional Deficiencies, Parkinson’s-like Symptoms, Sexual Impotence or Decreased Testosterone Production, Vision Problems

Specimen

5 ml RBC

Preparation

The test requires no special diet but It is recommended that the blood be drawn before breakfast after an overnight fast. Other collection times can cause deviations in patient results. Please refrain from taking non-essential medications, and dietary supplements that contain minerals for 72 hours prior to the specimen collection, unless otherwise instructed by your physician. Never discontinue prescription medications without first consulting your physician.

Methodology

Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS)

WHY THE LEVELS OF ELEMENTS MATTER

RBC elements tests assess the status of essential elements with important intracellular functions, such as magnesium, copper and zinc.

When there are deficiencies or excesses of these essential elements, numerous metabolic processes are affected.

RBC element analysis is also useful for the assessment of ongoing or recent exposure to specific toxic metals, such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, methylmercury, and thallium, that accumulate preferentially in erythrocytes.

HOW THE RBC TEST CAN HELP YOUR PATIENTS

  • Can point out the cause of a long list of diseases and symptoms that the patient is going through, with regard to the status of essential elements in the body
  • An important feature of this analysis is that the cells are not washed. Washing the cells can result in partial loss of some important elements, such as calcium, that bind to the plasma membrane.
  • Can recommend specific treatments and lifestyle changes based on results

OTHER HELPFUL INFORMATION FOR YOUR PATIENTS

  • The test requires no special diet but It is recommended that the blood be drawn before breakfast after an overnight fast.
  • Other collection times can cause deviations in patient results.
  • Please ask the patient to refrain from taking non-essential medications, and dietary supplements that contain minerals for 72 hours prior to the specimen collection, unless otherwise instructed by the doctor.
  • Specimen: Blood
  • Turnaround time: Three to four weeks

END-TO-END PROCEDURE

  1. The doctor will prescribe the test.
  2. GMT’s key account manager will get in touch with you to schedule the extraction of the sample. They will also answer additional questions you might have with the procedure.
  3. GMT’s medical technologist will personally go to the agreed location to collect the sample.
  4. The specimen will then be analyzed in the laboratory.

FIND OUT IF YOUR PATIENT’S HEALTH IS DUE TO THE ELEMENTS IN THEIR BODIES

Red blood cell (RBC) elements tests are for determining the status of essential elements with important intracellular functions, like magnesium, copper and zinc. When there are deficiencies or excesses of these essential elements, they affect many metabolic processes.

RBC element analysis is also used in examining the present or recent exposure to specific toxic metals, such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, methylmercury and thallium, that accumulate preferentially in erythrocytes.
